The great success was achieved thanks to the selection of the singers...Veronica Murua is an extraordinary soprano with a vast repertoire that include either operatic or popular music. Her voice is solid, well timbered and her interpretative skills gave to the Santuzza role strength, impact and conviction. Her performance was probably the best of the night.

el recital representó un alarde de musicalidad y virtuosismo. Precisamente su Vocalización (Rachmaninoff) —para soprano y piano— es una de esas obras afortunadas, que de suyo gozan de una aceptación garantizada. Pieza breve pero colmada de dificultades técnicas, puso a prueba a Verónica Murúa y a Mauricio Náder. Como aconteció en el resto del concierto, en que los tres músicos entendieron cada obra en su totalidad. Esto se oye fácil pero no lo es. No basta con el conocimiento pleno del instrumento respectivo. Los compositores exigen que para su cabal interpretación los intérpretes se adentren en su entendimiento y en su sentir. Y eso el que escucha lo identifica. Cuando los ejecutantes parece que tocan obras cortadas con las mismas tijeras, algo anda mal. En cambio, cuando la música nos sobrecoge es garantía de que el arte se hace presente.

No obstante, de ellos tres sin duda los papeles de la celosa Tosca y el villano Scarpia sobresalieron por el gran nivel que demostraron. Verónica Murúa supo llevar muy bien el papel de Tosca, especialmente en los momentos de mayor dramatismo, que se demostraron en el segundo y tercer acto. Su gran técnica en modular la voz y la caracterización de su personaje quedó de manifiesto en el segundo episodio, cuando es vejada por el Barón Scarpia y después, cuando le da muerte con un crucifijo de plata.
