Biography
Ms. Murua has sung with many orchestras in her native Mexico. This past june she debut at the Carnegie Hall singing a concert of Italian arias and ensembles with conductor Piero Romano. She debut at the Teatro de Bellas Artes singing for mexican president Vicente Fox together with tenor Ramon Vargas. She's sung the soprano solo in Beethoven's Egmont with Orquesta Filarmonica de la UNAM and her performance was chosen to produce a collection CD for the Orchestra sponsors. She has worked with conductors such as Jose Luis Castillo, Zuo Houang Chen, Antoni Ros-Marba, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Kurt Klippstatter, Guido Maria Guida, Piero Romano, Donald Schleicher, Carlos García Ruíz, Antonio Tornero, Eduardo Sanchez-Zuber, Guillermo Salvador, Felix Carrasco, Glen Cortese, Guadalupe Flores, Juan Carlos Lomonaco and directors like Marcelo Lombardero, Bruce Donnell, Robert De Simone, Cesar Pina, Benjamin Cann, Sergio Vela, Luis Miguel Lombana, Judy Weinstein, Oscar Tapia and Armando Mora. She's sung the roles of Salud, Donna Elvira, Adina, Violetta, Donna Anna, Fiordiligi, Elle in La Voix Humaine, Micaela, Geraldine in A Hand of Bridge, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, Nedda, The Fox in The Little prince by Federico Ibarra, Cecilia in Il Guarani by Gomes. Her Oratorio and chamber music repertoire include Hanne in Haydn's Seasons, Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, Mozart's Requiem, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, Mozart´s C minor Mass. She also holds a tenure position at the Nacional Autonomous University of Mexico.
